The Voices (2014)

Ryan Reynolds plays a creepy serial killer who believes that his pets are talking to him. Reynolds is the very last person any casting director would pick to play this kind of character. That is why The Voices, in it's own twisted, stupid way is a stroke of absurd genius. Reynolds is a treat through the whole thing. If you loved Deadpool, you will get a kick out of this. He plays not only Jerry, but his pets, Bosco and Mr. Whiskers. Mr. Whiskers has a Scottish accent and curses up a storm. Bosco is Ryan Reynold's impression of Gary Busey. Again, insane and hilarious enough to work. It goes from really dark to really silly in many different places. You might say that this makes the film tonally off. It does. But that's what makes it so funny.
