Life of Brian (1979)
Life of Brian is the second Monty Python motion picture, this time making a farce about the Bible and all of religion itself. They pulled out all of the stops here to top The Holy Grail. With a bigger budget, the troupe definitely had a bigger playground to prance around in. Unfortunately, I thought the material here was way less sharp and inspired than in Holy Grail. Some of it is laugh-out loud funny, and some of it gets so repetitive, you'll want to bash your head into a wall. That's the point, I know. It makes for one amusing experience regardless. Also, kudos to them for mocking Star Wars back when the franchise was brand new. Unless I'm mistaken, Python was the first to give it the old send-up.
