Buried (2010)

Ryan Reynolds is buried alive. To get out, he either needs to pay ransom to a terrorist, or contact and corporate with authorities to get out. For anyone that has ever dealt with customer service, and had a really bad experience, welcome to your nightmare. Ryan Reynolds can’t get through to anyone to save him. This is a frustrating film to watch, and yet, that’s what makes it such a good watch. Stuck in a tight box, Buried is surprisingly visually innovative. You’ll be amazed how many angles and tricks you can pull in such a limited location. Plus, it’s worth it to stick around for the ending, which goes so against the grain of what thrillers like this have done in the past. Underrated. 4 out of 5 Stars.
